Sodium hexametaphosphate (NaPO₃) ₙ As a nonlinear polyphosphate, its degree of polymerization n is typically 6-20, and this special topological structure gives it three core properties:

Dynamic chelating effect: Its helical molecular chain can adaptively encapsulate divalent/trivalent metal ions (such as Ca²⁺, Fe³⁺, etc.), with a chelating capacity of 300-400mg CaCO₃/g
Interface activation behavior: A nanoscale adsorption layer is formed at the solid-liquid interface, and the Zeta potential can be adjusted to -30mV to -50mV
pH response characteristics: It remains stable within the pH range of 4 to 9. Beyond this range, controllable depolymerization occurs

(1) Advanced material preparation

As a steric hindrance stabilizer in graphene dispersion, it can increase the concentration to 5mg/mL
Surface modifiers used in quantum dot synthesis, reducing particle size distribution to ±2nm
(2) Intelligent water treatment system

Combined with magnetic nanoparticles, a recyclable heavy metal adsorbent (Pb²⁺ removal rate >98%) was developed.
In the pretreatment of reverse osmosis membranes, the membrane fouling index was reduced by 60%
(3) 3D printing of food
